I live on a very big orchard, in the woods, in the mountains.
There is a lot growing right now, and I wanted to share some of it with you.
I live in an area that is colder than Naramata and so everything wakes up a bit later in the Spring.
Garlic is one of the first things to pop up in my garden because it is a bulb.
You may have noticed that flowers like tulips and daffodils pop up first in the spring. They grow from bulbs as well!
We plant garlic in the fall before the ground freezes.
With lots of sun and water it will be ready to harvest this summer.
We place cherry prunings (cut branches) between our garlic to keep our dog, Kunga, from sitting on the little plants!
What’s growing on at your place?
